Excellent Drs.

As a regular patient at Newberg Veterinary Hospital, my human gets email reminders when my vaccinations are due. These emails include a link and instructions to book an appointment online. My human has been attempting to do this for the past two months but there are never any appointments available. I beg, I jump up, and I chew his shoes trying to get the healthcare I need. This has prompted him to call on several occasions. Each time there is a long hold time, with the music interrupted every 5 seconds with suggestions to leave a voicemail. Twice my human was disconnected and tried to give up, but I barked to be more annoying than the recording. Finally they got through and asked about the online booking. The front desk said, “Oh that’s turned off.” with a complete lack of concern for the customer experience. My human knows it’s customary for a business experiencing an outage of their online services to put up a banner stating that something is not working. Also, there are normally service standards for how long the outage takes to fix. But Newberg vet turned it off on purpose without regard to the impact on their customers, while continuing to send messages asking them to book appointments online.

The staff and doctoirs are friendly and careing with our dog, have been going to Newberg Vet for years. I am disapponted in the difficultyin getting a timely appiointment and the fact that they no longer provide urgent care for our pets.

The last few times I’ve called to have my pet seen they tell me no and tell me to go somewhere else. I understand they’re busy but every time? My pet also has a medication she has to take that apparently is a controlled substance, whenever I call and ask for a refill they treat me like I’m up to something horrible. Last time I needed a refill for her, she went without her medication for over a month and I had to have a different veterinary office call to get them to do it. I’m just over it. I’ve given them a couple of years to pull it together and they’re just consistently going way downhill not only in care but also customer service. Looking through so many other negative reviews i see that not once does Newberg Veterinary Hospital take any accountability, rather they make excuses, blame the customer or minimize people‘s experience. Smh. I will be finding a new veterinarian.
